What is Alondio?

Alondio is a Shopify app that sends WhatsApp messages to your customers:

• Abandoned cart recovery — one reminder when a checkout goes quiet.
• Order notifications — confirmed, shipped, delivered.
• Back-in-stock alerts — when a product a customer wanted returns.

What separates it from the alternatives is not the list above. It is that every message has a state you can inspect, and every failure has a reason written for you rather than copied out of an API response.

Before you start

You will need three things:

1. A Shopify store you can install apps on.
2. A phone number that is not already registered to a WhatsApp account — personal or Business. This is the single most common thing that blocks setup, so it is worth checking first.
3. A Meta Business account, or the willingness to create one during signup. You do not need one in advance.

You do not need to talk to a Business Solution Provider, fill in a partner onboarding form, or wait for a sales call.

The path

Four steps, in order:

1. Install Alondio from the Shopify App Store.
2. Connect WhatsApp through Meta Embedded Signup.
3. Send your first message to yourself and read its delivery status.
4. Turn on the automations you want.
