Alondio isn’t publicly available yet. These docs describe how the product will work at launch.

Install Alondio

Alondio installs like any other Shopify app. This page covers what it asks for and why, so that nothing on the permission screen is a surprise.

  1. Open Alondio on the Shopify App Store.
  2. Choose the store you want to install it on.
  3. Review the permissions (below) and approve.

You are returned to your Shopify admin with Alondio open. Billing runs through Shopify, so the subscription appears on the invoice you already receive from Shopify — there is no separate payment method to add.

Every scope Alondio requests maps to a feature. If a scope has no feature behind it, we do not ask for it.

Permission What it is for
Read customers Names and phone numbers to address and route messages.
Read orders Detecting order confirmed, shipped, and delivered events.
Read checkouts Detecting a checkout that has gone quiet, for cart recovery.
Read products and inventory Knowing when an out-of-stock product is available again.

Alondio’s design is to read what it needs in order to decide whether to send a message, and to write nothing back to your store.

Alondio registers the webhooks it needs, including the three GDPR webhooks Shopify requires of every app — customer data request, customer redact, and shop redact. These are implemented properly rather than stubbed, because they are also how your own erasure obligations get met.

Nothing is sent to any customer at this point. No automation is active until you turn it on.

Your store is connected, but WhatsApp is not yet. Connect WhatsApp is the next step, and the one worth reading carefully.
