Alondio isn’t publicly available yet. These docs describe how the product will work at launch.

Send your first message

Send one message to yourself before you turn on any automation. It confirms the connection end to end, and it is the fastest way to learn how delivery status reads.

  1. Open Settings → WhatsApp in Alondio.
  2. Choose Send a test message.
  3. Enter your own phone number in full international format, including the country code — +34600000000, not 600000000.
  4. Send.

The test uses an approved template. All business-initiated WhatsApp messages must, which is why you cannot type arbitrary text here.

The message appears immediately in the message log with a state. It will move through some of these:

Status What it means
Queued Recorded by Alondio, not yet handed to Meta.
Sent Meta accepted it.
Delivered It reached the recipient’s device.
Read The recipient opened it. Only if they have read receipts on.
Failed It will not arrive. A reason is always attached.

The important one is Failed. Alondio never shows you a raw error code — each failure is mapped to what you can do about it:

  • Retrying automatically — a rate limit or a temporary fault on Meta’s side. You do not need to act.
  • Needs your attention — a rejected template or a quality-blocked number. The message will not be retried until you fix something, and the status says what.
  • Not retried — an invalid recipient number. Retrying would not help.

If you take one thing from this page: a message that does not arrive will always be visible as failed, with a reason. It will not disappear quietly.

If the message is stuck at Queued, the connection is incomplete rather than broken. Go back to confirming the connection — a WABA with no attached phone number produces exactly this.

Turn on the automations you want. Start with order notifications: they are UTILITY messages, customers expect them, and they are the least likely to affect your quality rating while you get comfortable.
